What is CAT CAT is a club of individuals who are interested in learning and promoting the art of turning wood. This organization was started in January 2009 for hobbyists in the general area of Western Loudoun County, VA and quickly grew to around 50 members. It is a chapter of the American Association of Wood turners. No matter what your level of interest or skill, CAT welcomes all interested people to visit our meetings to get a sample of this inspiring hobby. You will find warm people from novice to expert willing to share with you. AAW Our CAT members are encouraged strongly to also become a member of the national organization, "American Association of Wood Turners". Even non-woodturners should take a look at the AAW web site. Meetings Monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve, 21085 The Woods Rd, Leesburg, VA 20175. Yes, we are way out in the woods where we feel at home. NOTE: In the event of bad weather, we might need to cancel or postpone a meeting, and we email all active members and post an update message on the home page of the site, so please check for updates if there are any questions about possible weather issues for any meeting date.
